    Fixed Gear Century

Earlier this year at the Montauk RR Ride I saw a couple guys who rode single speeds.
Having done a few Century rides this year I was looking to add to the challenge at the Tour of the Hamptons and doing it on my track bike.
I just switched the track bars for road bars and added brakes front and rear, just in case.
I was able to get in 40 miles on it this past weekend and loved it. It like starting all over again.

For anyone who rides fixed I was looking for input on gearing choice.

To start I just set up mine up at 52-16. It feels good and I can still get up the climbs I do on my road. After a couple more rides I may switch to a 15 in the back considering the TOH is mostly flat except leaving Montauk.

Any suggestions about doing a Fixed Century are appreciated.
