NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

MOM ride parameters: cruise 20-23mph, avg 19, NO SURGING, and after pulling, go to the back of the line. If you cannot follow these guidelines then please do not attend this ride. There are two detours on the ride due to Dam Rd being closed at Peconic Lake. They will be discussed before the ride start. The link below is the newest version of MOM and reflects the detours. The ride is still 40 miles.

There will be a break at mile 22 at Wildwood Lake. Wait-ups as needed and the last wait-up will be at the Connecticut Rd, Halsey Manor Rd, Mill Rd. Intersection (stop sign) on the way back. All wait-ups are "as needed".

There are 2 things for sure about this ride:  it's scenic and it's hilly.  Come out if you want to stretch your climbing muscles.  Climb at your own pace, wait ups at the top of each hill.  I'm hoping for a C+/B- average, but this will be a 'B' effort.  Several scenic gulp and goes with a break at Ralph's Fishing Station.  Call if you have any questions.  Check the calendar before you leave your home, any changes will be posted by 7:00 am

This C+ ride of 18-25 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:00am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.

Wee bit earlier than wehave been meeting so we get back before dusk.  If we leave late the ride will be shorter. 

Please wear bright clothing, lights and any snacks for need for the ride.

We get back in time for dinner at Green Cactus.

A very scenic ride, we will be riding at a B- effort but slowed down by the twists and turns and stops for views.   Hills at your own speed, wait ups as needed.

We will have a short break at the lighthouse.  No bathrooms  until we get to West Meadow beach (mile 16)
