BTW, I've been riding Zwift with the B/B+ riders and struggling, so B+ may be a push IDK. Be prepaired to soft pedal for me!!!!!!

We'll be doing most of the Black Diamonds but Overton has been designed with the BD loops mostly returning within sight of the entrance. Some of the BDs are at the Intermediate level and the trail markers are great (thanks CLIMB!). Folks at the Intermediate level can wait if they want to skip a BD.
In the Spring the trail conditions can vary with the frost/precip/temperature ... if I find that our ride is destructive to the trail I will cut it short and head out east to Calverton or BSP.

The link to the route is below my text. Take a look at the ride elevation profile.

Minor Change: Drive all the way to the end of the road and past the ice skating rink.
A change of pace. The first (and probably the only) time this year. This compact trail has 1 mile that is often too wet to ride (Yellow trail) and 2 miles outside the park along power lines and undeveloped land between the LIE and Motor Parkway. Here's the map: https://climbonline.org/2014j/pdf/maps/HP-G8-Full-v26.pdf . The advanced route does have some difficult climbs. I've always been tired after riding in this place.
If nothing else, PLEASE contact me to let me know you plan to be at the ride start.

Here is what I thought we would do depending on the wind direction. We will either go to Patchogue or do a route around Holbrook. If we go to Patchogue the distance will be 27/28 miles. Doing the Holbrook route the distance will be 24/25 miles. For now since some of us are just starting out I would like to keep the road speed around 15.5/16.0. Not looking to come in with any particular average but to stay around the B minus category. Just looking to have some fun. With either ride there will be a bathroom stop. At the end of the ride we can go for a bagel and bs if you want to join in.
Please text me at 631.484.3490 with JUST YOUR LAST NAME if you think you might be coming. Remember to bring a mask. If you have any questions about this ride please text me.
