Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

M.O.M usual ride. B+/A- Pace at 19-23 mph with an avg of 19-20. Nothing more, nothing less. No surging please. Any detours due to road construction will be discussed before the ride. The route posted/linked below shows two detours but there most likely will be one more on the return route on Wading River Manor Rd where we might take Line Road North.
Today is Labor Day, so don't forget to wear your RED, WHITE, & BLUE JERSEY!
We are doing this C+ ride early, so everyone can move on the the BBQ, Party, or whatever you may be attending! The ride will average 11.9 - 12.5; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets; there will be a bathroom stop.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride, text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
There are 2 things for sure about this ride: it's scenic and it's hilly. Climb at your own pace, wait ups at the top of each climb. I'm hoping for a C+/B- average, but this will be a 'B' effort. Several scenic gulp and goes with a break at Ralph's Fishing Station. Call if you have any questions. Check the calendar before you leave your home, any changes will be posted by 7:00 am. You'll be back in the parking lot by 10:45am, in time for your BBQ
