NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Come join us on a scenic, mostly flat and beautiful 36 or so mile ride that heads out from the Speonk train station to West Hampton, Quogue and the surrounding area that in addition to the usual lovely roads, utilizes some less travelled ones. Lots of water views on this ride.  Please note that we will meet in the parking lot on the east side of Phillips Avenue.

We will be running the ride somewhat as a tour, enjoying the scenery and views.    

 We will not be making a stop to buy lunch during the ride, but there will be a number of stops along the way, so please bring food you may want or need as well as sufficient hydration.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.

This C+ ride of 18-25 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.
