NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Due to the miserable weather forecast of rain and windgusts, the ride has been rescheduled for September 15, 2023Note: This is a multi-level/Multi leader ride, therefore, my mileage may have to be adjusted so hopefully anyone wanting to go to the restaurant can be with friends from other groups. We will be heading out to Cutchogue, with numerous water views, along with views of farms and vineyards. There will be a stop in Cutchogue at a deli or bagel place for coffee and restrooms. After we return to our cars, those riders who wish to can go on to the restaurant (you pay for your own food and drinks). Riders going to the restaurant must let me know before we start the ride, so I can let the person who is organizing the details of the restaurant phone in the reservation numbers. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 06:15am. If you wish to join this ride, text me at 631-356-3036 with your name and date of ride. The ride will be limited to 15 riders, if there are more than 15 interested, I wii try to split the ride if I can get someone to lead the second part of the ride.
This is a mulit-level ride and you may pick the ride leader/distance/pace you want to do.
My ride is a C, which will average 10.5-11.3. As always, newbies well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. If you wish, some riders are going to the Sound Bistro (formerly the Lobster Roll North) on Sound Avenue for lunch following the ride (you pay for your own food and drink). By the start of the ride we need to know how many people are planning to go to the restaurant, so they can set aside enough seating space. Stop at a bathroom before getting to the ride start as there is not usually one available.
Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for any changes, which would be posted by 7:30 am.
I've canceled because Thunderstorms are still in the forecast for 1:00
DELAYED UNTIL 1 PM - want to avoid thunderstorms.
CHANGE: weather was too iffy to go out to Riverhead, so I am going to try and do this ride instead
This will be a C+ ride, which will average 12.0-12.5, depending on the riders and the weather. We may end up with a short local loop, so bring a snack for a quick break. The exact route will be determined on the day of the ride, so there will not be a cue sheet.
Text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number if you plan to ride.
Check the ride calendar for any changes (delayed starrt, cancelation, etc.), which would be posted by 8:00 am.
