NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This C+ ride of 18-23 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.

Come join us as we make our way around Manorville and Calverton, on mostly quiet paths and roads.  All and all, a neat 36 or so miles with some nice stretches of riding. 

We will not be making a stop to buy lunch during the ride.  There will be a number of stops along the way, so please bring food you may want or need as well as sufficient hydration.  There might be an option to head to Bean and Bagel after the ride for some bonus miles.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.

To join the ride or if you have questions, please text Bill Mastro at 917-921-5358.  I usually send the final ride file to those that text me.  Any updates or weather issues will be posted to the ride listing by 7:00 on the day of the ride.

Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to the Beach.  The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there.  The average pace for the ride will be between 15 to 16.0 mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 17.0 and 18.0 mph. The usual break-a-ways will happen for those who desire. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack.
