NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Early start for a busy day ... We'll be doing the Westside Advance trail.
If nothing else, PLEASE contact me to let me know you plan to be at the ride start. No contacts and I may change the start time or cancel at last moment.
SBRA insurance requires that Mtn Bike riders MUST sign a Ride Sign In sheet for each Mtn Bike ride. Please text [631-988-6557]/email me at [nsamuels@ optonline.net] include your name and emergency and cell # (NOT necessary if you've recently ridden with me). I will have the Ride Sign in sheet for you to just sign.
You must have a mask on your person to ride though it's typical to be more than 15 feet a part in the woods.
Check back to this posting before leaving for the ride as Life Happens and Things Change.
Join me for this easy C+ ride, which will average 12.0 - 12.5, no one gets dropped, and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. We will loop around part of lower Stony Brook, then go around St. James. We will take our break at the St. James Bagel Shop (food, beverages, and bathroom available).
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: riders at this time are limited. You MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
This ride will be the first "on road" ride this year for me. We will ride out to McDonalds in Manorville (mile 20.5) for a short break. At this time it is unknown if they will allow us to use the facilities; I will update if I can. No one will be dropped on this ride. Please remember to bring your masks. BTW, I've been riding Zwift with the B/B+ riders and struggling, so B+ may be a push IDK. Be prepaired to soft pedal for me!!!!!!
Off to Wildwood, plenty of picnic tables for social distancing. Wildwood has heated bathrooms. Bring your own food and be verage, there is a deli a block from Wildwood, but I don't know if it is open. We will use some of the Grumman trail on our ride, it should be snow free on Thursday. To join, contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers, your full name, and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:30am.
