2nd CHANGE:RIDE WILL NOW BE WEDNESDAY MORNING@ 9 AM
Join me for a morning C ride around the flat parts of Stony Brook, and then over to St. James. The ride will average 10.3 - 10.8 and we will stop for a break at St. James Bagels (food and bathroom available).
This will be a nice ride around the Holbrook area. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.0 & 14.5 mph; naturally the road speed will be higher to produce the average.
We can all go for coffee and a bagel at the end of the ride and chat if you want. If the route changes a bit we could stop at Mickey D's. We'll see, group decides. I'm really not sure what's going on with the restaurants, and the bagel shops. We'll take it one day at a time, and see what happens. Due to the virus, rules and regulations change daily, let's just be safe. If you are sick, or feel sick, for the safety of your fellow riders please don't ride today.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 8:00 am if necessary. If you have question about the ride or the start location please call or text me 631.484.3490…
This an outdoor ride, throw on a backpack, bring your own food and beverage, and picnic in the park. Wildwood has picnic tables and bathrooms, and on Sunday, our riders were just about the only people in the park. We do pass by Bean and Bagel if you have to run in and order a bagel. We also pass Nik's Nook deli, one block before the park. For info: contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:00am.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 22 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:30pm day of ride.
If you have any questions concerning this ride, call Mike at 516 448-8545.
