There's a nice little article in today's Newsday on
the institute. It's actually located on the front page
of section 2 so it's easy to find.
On Dec 11th the Geminid meteor shower is in full
swing and it might worth a look. If I had been around
for this date I was planning on posting an afternoon
hot chocolate ride out of Greenport RR sta. to Orient on
that day. Easy flat 26 miles out to the point and back with
a few points of interest to throw in. Dinner in Greenport and
then proceed to the institute with a favorite flask of holy
water to fend of the frost and enjoy the winter starlight display.
Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our holiday season
and enjoy the comradery of my fellow club members. It would be
nice if someone posted a multi club ride for this holiday/celestrial
event ! Peace and goodwill to all during this coming holiday season.
