The following has been received from Sarah Anker regarding Rails to Trails Advocacy ... followed by what I emailed ... I'm sure you can add other comments:
" Thank you so much for your support for the Rails to Trails Project. Newsday ran a positive article:

However, News12 continues to run only negative coverage about the project.

After watching the News12 reports by Danielle Campbell and Avery Harper about the Port Jefferson-Wading River Rails to Trails Project, I feel I have to object to the incomplete reporting and obvious biased opinions projected by News12. Here are a few of the questions that come to mind after watching these reports:
1. How do the residents think the area behind their houses are protected now?
2. Do they think the graffiti on the LIPA poles shown in the News12 April interview by Danielle Campbell were done by desirable individuals?
3. How many of these residents have assumed “ownership” of some of the LIPA property that's adjacent to their property line?
4. The Rocky Point Civic Association, which promotes the Rails to Trail project, has offered residents assistance to provide natural barriers to protect privacy. Why wasn't anyone from the Rocky Point Civic Association been interviewed for an on-air segment?
Even though there is a wealth of information regarding the positive aspects of this type of project, there was no reporting provided by News12 as to this side of the story. As a long time viewer of your local news station, I am disappointed that you did not provide unbiased news coverage.
