Attached to this posting is a picture of the shoulder and rumble strip. The shoulder has been cleared of debris and is typically kept clean by the town. In my estimation it is safe to ride. The rumble strip will add a safety margin for riders as it alerts drivers if they wander over onto the shoulder. The ride-able shoulder has approximately 3 feet to the right of the rumble strips which is more than many roads have as a paved shoulder at a maximum. Riders should avoid traversing the rumble strips themselves but have plenty of room when riding single file. The rumble strip has non-cutout areas every 30+ feet so one can access the road w/o crossing a rumble area.
