Hi Everyone,
Let me just take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Lori Weisinger, your new club historian. I joined SBRA less than a year ago with no riding experience, rode the 100 and have made many new friends. Now, I look forward to hearing from all of you. Tell me how long you've been an SBRA member and what motivates you to ride? Is it your best friend knocking on your door, or your own ability to get out there and feel that freedom? Can you tell me how many Presidents, VP's etc. the club has had since you joined? How many rides (or miles) have you accomplished over the years? Who remembers the first Bike Boat Bike, the first club picnic, holiday party, etc.? The first bike you rode?
Past and current, Presidents, VP's and board members, please share some of your thoughts and insight. What motivated you and why do you (did you) have (or had) the position you hold (or held).
Ride leaders --- we count on you tremendously, won't you share some of your experiences and the years you have been riding with SBRA?
As you can tell, I'm pulling together a timeline of club events and adventures, won't you share yours with me?
I may have met you on a ride, or at the monthly meetings, but please introduce yourself, as I will recognize you but may not have remembered your name. Looking forward to chatting with all of you and meeting you personally at the next club meeting. Stop over and say hello, with pen in hand I await anxiously to hear from you.
I will periodically check back at this forum for your input, or if you prefer e-mail me directly at:
Your Club Historian,
Lori Weisinger
