Week 3 of Century Training rides. Please note the earlier start time for this week. Each week the distance will increase by 5-10 miles ( unless the previous week's ride was cancelled due to weather ) and the pace will gradually increase to a B-/B range ( 13.5 - 15.0 ) by the last training ride in May. The route for this week will be Holtsville to Manorville with a food/rest stop approximately halfway though. Average pace will be somewhere between 13.1 and 14.5, slightly outside the B- range at the upper limit, cruising speed on the flats will be higher. Cancellation for any reason will be posted on the Ride Calendar no later than 8:00AM on Saturday. I believe the bathrooms at the Ecology Center are still closed for the winter so plan accordingly. Please arrive by 8:45 so we can roll out promptly at 9:00. We haven't been leaving on time the first 2 weeks due to stragglers. For this week those not ready to roll out at 9:00 will be given a cue sheet and can catch up with the group. We will break up into 2 groups at the start if turnout is 20+.
