This week it is off to Shelter Island via the North Ferry in Greenport. We can stop at our usual Greenport rest stop before boarding the Ferry and also on the return if needed The North Ferry ride costs $6 round trip for each rider with a bike, they prefer exact change. Keep in mind that Shelter has some beautuful views, some hilly sections, and stop signs that are enforced! Let's keep this ride within the A- range, maximum cruising speed of 24. Hope to see you there!
Join me for this easy C+ ride, which will average 12.2 - 12.8, no one gets dropped, and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. We will loop around part of lower Stony Brook, then go around St. James. We will take our break at the St. James Bagel Shop (food, beverages, and bathroom available). Route to be determined the morning of the ride, so no cue sheets.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start to "get yourself" ready.

Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course there must be one little hill. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 15.0 +/- mph, depending on the roads and wind direction and not let us forget the break-away. The road speed will be between 15.5 and 17.0 mph.
We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out. I know there are hooky plaers out there, no shame, the empanadas are worth it!!!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0730 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just TEXT me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will do a meet and greet in a reasonable amount of time...
This is a scenic ride out to Shinnecock Inlet, with great water views at the Inlet and along the way. Bring a snack for our stop at the Inlet. There will be bathroom stops in Westhampton Beach, both coming and going, at the Inlet, and porto-potties along dune road. At around mile 24 we will stop at a pocket park in Westhampton Beach, just seconds from the Beach Bakery and 7-11. Speed is C+/B-, but will be reduced if it is windy. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers, your full name, and date of ride.
