NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Ride out to Beach Bakery for a coffee & break before returning. This will be a mild A- ride; everyone stays together for an easy efficient ride with plenty in the tank for the Wednesday Hill ride. Hope you will join us.

Per the COVID-19 guidelines shown below a mask must be carried while on the ride and worn whenever a 6 foot distance cannot be maintained. By asking to join any SBRA ride, you are required to have read & signed the digital COVID-19 waiver and are agreeing to the Standard Release and Waiver of Liability Assumption of risk and Indemnity Agreement.

We will go to Patchogue or Around Holbrook depending on the wind direction. Whichever route we take the mileage will be 24/28. The road speed will be 15.5/16.5 you know the drill. This is the new bike path along Ocean parkway. We will go about 17 miles before turning around and coming back. No doubt the wind will be against us in one direction or the other, I would appreciate some help pulling when that happens, (I get tired too!). I haven't ridden this trail yet, it is new and apparently very scenic - don't forget your camera. We will keep the pace to a B- average, with a cruising speed between 15 and 17mph.
The start at Captree State Park, after the toll booth go around the circle to the northern main parking lot. Look for my car (white subaru) - apparently there is a pavilion and bike racks and hopefully bathrooms.
I don't think they are charging yet but if you are under 62 you may have to pay for parking ($8) unless you have an Empire pass. If over 62 just show your license.
Don't forget water, mask, snack and sense of humor.
Any changes will be made before 8:00, check before you leave home.

We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 22 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:00pm day of ride.

Moderate paced B/B+ South Shore ride with some park loops at the end. Riders will have the ability to "stretch legs" at some points during the ride with wait-ups to regroup. No one gets dropped.
No need to be 20 mins early - just be ready to ride by 4:30pm.
Join me for this evening ride from SAYVILLE around the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.2 - 12.7. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. We are leaving promptly at 5:30 to ensure we have enough daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.
