    ***  8:30 am start to beat the afternoon rain ***

    This is the original North Fork BBB route to Shelter Island, leaving from Mattituck. 

    We'll take the back roads out to Greenport and board the North Ferry to Shelter Island. 

    Thirty mile grand tour on Shelter Island.

    The route to Greenport is flat with a few rollers, Shelter Island is rolling, with a few hills.

    Pace will be a moderate B, should average about 15.5, group stays together, and nobody gets dropped.

    Please bring $6 for the round-trip ferry fare, and plenty of water and snacks. 

    Lunch stop to be determined.
