NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

I am cancelling ths ride due to air quality rom the Canadian fires. Don't think its a good idea to breathe this stuff today
We will be doing the usual route except we added another 2 miles since last week. We will take a break at Wertheim at 14 miles and then head back. I hope to come in with an average between 13.6 and 14 mph. In order to get this the road speed will be between 14 and 16 mph. Things could change slightly due to the road conditions and the wind. At the end of the ride you are welcome to stop in and have an FREE empanada cooked by Eduardo and drink some aguapanela. Please leave the waitress a tip.

Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to the Beach. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there. The average pace for the ride will be between 15 to 16.0 mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 17.0 and 18.0 mph. The usual break-a-ways will happen for those who desire. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out. Pulls are appreciated. Cyclists coming with "E" bikes must stay at the end of the bike line.
Join me for this C ride, which will average 11.6 - 12.1, no one gets dropped, and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. We will loop around part of lower Stony Brook, then go around St. James. We will take our break at the St. James Bagel Shop (food, beverages, and bathroom available). Route to be determined the morning of the ride, so no cue sheets.

Off to Smithpoint County park and Osprey point, for scenic water views. Several rest room stops along the way, bring snacks and drinks for our 2 water view stops. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:00am.
Cruise the waterfront in Oakdale and Heckshire. One restroom stop. The ride should be back before dark but lights are reccomended in case of unforseen mechanicals or delays.
