NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

We will go to Patchogue today. The road speed will be 15.5/17.0 Pulling is always appreciated but not required. We can go to Mc Donalds or the bagel deli at the end of the ride .
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions.All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average.
Any cancellation due to weather, or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 07:45 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.838.1458.
Dick & Claire Reed are up from Florida and some of us are going to get together for a ride and/or lunch at the Mill House in Yaphank (food and beverages at personal expense).
I am posting a C+ ride, which will average 12.2- 12.7, depending on the winds, the riders, etc. I will ride to Bellport or the Smith Point Marina - destination and actual distance to be decided that morning.
There will probably be a faster ride lead by another Ride Leader (but possibly not posted) - more details that morning.
Dick and Claire will decide which ride(s) they will do. Anyone who knows them and wants to join in on the fun is welcome.
There will be a bathroom stop and a break, somewhere along the ride.

We will be leaving The Wharf and head to Blue Piont/Corey Beach for a 25 mile ride. The ride will be at a B pace with an average speed of around 15 to 15.5 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 19 mph.
We will now be on the SOUTH SIDE of the Ronk train station near the Western end of the parking lot closest to Railroad Ave FOR THIS 18-23 MILE RIDE. Plan to be back by dark but wear light or reflective clothing and have lights for your bike. Bring a snack and hydration. Route depends on riders ability, wind, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. As always newbies always well taken care of and no one gets dropped. Wheels down at posted time as "Daylights A Burnin" so get there 15 minutes before. Any cancellation will be by 4:30pm. No need to text me, just "show n go".
Coming from LIE take Ronkonkoma Ave. South, just over RR bridge make 3 right turns, parking is on right, corner of Railroad AVe and Ronkonkoma Ave.
Coming from Lakeland Ave. Sunrise Hwy., go North just pass Vets Hwy make right on Smithtown Ave (following alongside of airport), just before bridge make right on Railroad Ave, parking is on left side (go past one way entrance and make 1st available left into lot).
