NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This is a Beginner ride but riders of other levels are welcome and can ride ahead. Calverton is mostly flat but we'll do one hill in the Black Diamond area at the north end so folks can get a climbing challenge. SBRA insurance requires that Mtn Bike riders MUST sign a Ride Sign In sheet for each Mtn Bike ride. 

PLEASE text [631-988-6557]/email me at [nsamuels@ optonline.net] include your name, SBRA #, EMERGENCY # and your cell #. I will fill out the Ride Sign In sheet and you will only have to sign it.

Check back to this posting before leaving for the ride.

Off to Nettie's for some great baked treats, and soup/rolls.  Wonderfull outdoor seating available. We will be riding thru Calverton, Manorville and Mastic, with some mileage on the Grumman Trail.  To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers and your full name.  Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:15am.  Note:  If I don't receive texts, the ride is cancelled.

Park in the lot across from the RR station. Not sure of the route. Mostly a meander around. Bring snack and drink, likely no formal deli stop but we wil find a bathroom.  Contact me with any questions. Any changes would be posted by 7:30 am.
