As usual I'll be the Ride Organizer and not the lead rider for most of the ride. Regardless of your ability you can always hang with me as I'm slower than lots of faster riders. 

We'll SKIP the technical stuff at the beginning by riding north on the road up to the big painted rock. Those that want do the technical stuff can do it at the end of the ride ... it's not as bad as the Overton DBDs. East Setauket has plenty of hills to challenge a rider's strength & stamina.

SBRA insurance requires that Mtn Bike riders MUST sign a Ride Sign In sheet for each Mtn Bike ride.

Ride cancelled, no riders.  Our ride takes us to Smithpoint Beach, with its views of the Atlantic Ocean.  Bring snacks to eat as we watch the waves, or purchase your snacks at the 7-11 just before the beach. At mile 7, we make a brief stop at Wertheim Preserve, where there are clean porta-potties.  SmithPoint, at about mile 15, has restrooms.  If all riders are interested, and the wind is cooperative, we can add 5 miles and go to Osprey Pointe, with its lovely waterviews, a pier going out into the water, and benches for sitting. On the return, we can make a potty stop at Wertheim.  To join, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA#, emergency and cell numbers, and your full name.
